About the artist: Chen Luo is a Boston-based graphic designer whose practice encompasses typography, performative design, and visual identities. She is a co-founder of Body&Forma and teaches at Boston University, SMFA at Tufts, and UMass Lowell. Her work has been recognized by Communication Arts, New One Awards, and Design 360°.

Goal + Impact: The Next Page transforms traditional donor recognition into a dynamic visual celebration. Chen's site-specific vinyl wall covering evokes the tools and methods storytellers use to support their creative process, including digital means. Each vibrant color is inspired by the palette of the surrounding physical space, reinforcing connections between GrubStreet's new home and the community that made it possible. The design lists the names of over 400 individuals and organizations who supported GrubStreet between 2018 and 2021, honoring their contributions through thoughtful integration of text and color.
