About the artist: Born in Boston in 2001 and now living and working in Webster, MA, Elias Andrés Taborda earned their BFA in Printmaking from Massachusetts College of Art & Design (MassArt) in 2024. Working across printmaking, drawing, and painting, they render quiet, attentive scenes — often pairing finished images with looser studies, sketch notes, and marginalia.
Their work has been shown at the Brookline Arts Center, the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT (in the 14th Biennial International Miniature Print Exhibition), and across MassArt's galleries. In 2023, they received the MassArt FA2D Foundation Auction Award and were published in Conversion: Issue 8 of the Journal of Art Criticism. They have also worked as a Printmaking Studio Monitor at MassArt and a Prints & Drawings Intern at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
